Passo da ricevere testi articolati ricchi di formalismi, esercizio di stile di antichi scribi medievali…
a righe monoblocco, digitate con pollici fumanti in uno stato di apnea profonda.
Parole sparate su una tastiera, nella speranza che, chi legga, possa comprenderne il più intimo significato, decifrando gli enigmi nascosti tra le righe
e poi magari, trovandosi del giusto umore, rispondere immediatamente, in maniera diretta, puntuale ed esaustiva.
E da qui si cade nell’oblio nervoso del “come già precedentemente scritto” , “non ci siamo capiti” o ancor peggio “credevo che…”….
Combatto da anni la mia personale battaglia per evitare di essere “carnefice” e “vittima” di questi loop.
E per questo voglio condividere una serie di post nell’intento di stimolare chi legge, me compreso, a fare una riflessione su come scriviamo ogni giorno le tanto amate email e magari trovare qualche spunto utile e pratico.
Partendo da oggi, per i prossimi giorni, voglio condividere alcuni strumenti che in questi anni ho studiato, rubato e sperimentato per scrivere “email” chiare, precise, semplici e a “quasi” scanso di equivoci.
Parto subito dall’ABC.. Ovvio, ma molto spesso dimenticato.
A – PERCHE’ – Prima di iniziare a scrivere devi avere ben chiaro,
Perché stai scrivendo la mail?
Cosa vuoi veramente dire, ottenere?
- Vuoi avere una risposta?
- Allora accertati di porre una domanda! Deve essere chiara e precisa, ea scanso di equivoci. Porgi la domanda, metti il punto interrogativo e preparati alla risposta.
- Vuoi fare un recap di quanto concordato in un meeting?
- Allora dillo ben chiaro fin dall’ inizio e accertati di evidenziare i punti discussi in maniera semplice da capire.
- E alla fine dai spazio a chi vuole rispondere di integrare, rettificare, chiarire.
- Vuoi dare delle istruzioni?
- In primis hai tu chiaro cosa vuoi che faccia chi legge? Se si scrivi e rileggi accertandosi di aver compreso tu stesso, cosa fare, come farlo, entro quando, con chi, e le conseguenze in caso di ritardo / errore (ex. Se non mi mandi i tuoi numeri entro Giovedì alle 12:00 Il tuo budget non verrà preso in considerazione.).
Quindi, in spiccioli, basta farsi la domanda (vedi su) e darsi una risposta.
… ma facciamoci questa domanda!

ma poi neanche tanto, se vai a rileggere gran parte delle ultime e-mail ricevute.
..Non di dico, quelle da te scritte ed inviate, naturalmente, perche’ quelle sono gia’ perfette 🙂.
B – DESTINATARIO– La persona a chi stai scrivendo e’ quella giusta?
Non dico di fare un check sul nome del destinatario (che pero’, gia che ci sei, sarebbe opportuno) , ma di accertarti che chi legge sia in grado e possa darti la risposta che cerchi o possa fare quanto chiedi.
Mi è capitato varie volte di mandare e- mail a clienti, senza ricevere risposta,
per poi realizzare, con una telefonata (sempre sia lodato il telefono..)
che il destinatario in azienda, non era quello “di competenza” .
C – OGGETTO. Su questo punto, bisogna fare un bel respiro, e prendersi qualche secondo per riflettere.
L’oggetto delle mail è un grande trascurato.
C’è chi non si degna neppure di scriverlo.
Invece è importante tanto quanto il contenuto e deve da subito far capire di che tratta la mail, essere chiaro e spingere a leggere il testo.
Voglio iniziare dai grandi 3 NO, cosa evitare assolutamente, e poi passare ad alcuni trucchi rubati direttamente dalle prime file dei Navy Seals.
